Dear members of St. John's: I wanted to offer a heartfelt thank you for the love and support shown to my family and me during this most challenging time. As I look back over the last serveral weeks, the one feeling that I always had was that of being surrounded in love. Cathy Mandetta did a superb job at coordinating the wonderful meals and other things people watned to do for us. I know Tacy was most appreciative of this as well. St. John's was truly a beacon for God's love. God Bless everyone. --With Love, Marc Warren

New Church Office Hours: The church office will be open from 9AM-2PM Monday through Thursday, and 9AM-1:30PM on Friday. Our church administrative staff is a lively hard working pair of faithful Christian Servants. They are ready to meet your needs in the best way they possibly can. If you have any administrative needs please contact Marieta or Bobbi in the church office during regular office hours.

The Church & Ministry Committee functions somewhat like a Human Resources Office in a business setting. The Committee prepares job descriptions, recruits, evaluates and recommends candidates for staff positions as well as conducts actual performance evaluations. Another major function of the C & M Committee is the promotion of good relations among the pastor, staff and congregation. To fulfill our tasks and duties, we invite your questions and concerns that are pertinent to any of the above. Contact Dave Woodle, Chairman at 231-2697. They are currently working on the "Safe Church" policy and the accompanying procedures. Our "Safe Church" policy is a vehicle to assist us in continuing to keep our children safe at St. John's. Establishing and enforcing a "Safe Church" policy also demonstrates our desire to welcome new children into our church family by offering their parents the assurance that we are doing everything we possibly can to protect their precious children. If you have any questions, please talk to the members of Church and Ministry.

St. John's Children's Choir, the Jesus Jammers, rehearses each Wednesday evening from 6:30pm to 7:30pm in the Sanctuary. All children pre-K through Grade 6 are invited to "make a joyful noise to the Lord!" We will be using a variety of media, including CDs, DVD's, and accompanists as we lift our voices to God. There will also be a hand chimes ensemble for those in grades 4-6. This group will meet to have fun, praise God, and prepare songs for worship services. Please contact Jean Pierce (234-3193) or Renee Owens (359-2857) with questions.
